I'm sure they didn't send someone out to drive for an hour non-stop (at your expense) to see if it got them stranded somewhere ![]() Problem with intermittent or heat-related faults is that you can't (as your dealer/tech found) duplicate the failure. BTW, what were the symptoms/codes that caused you to replace the fuel pump a year ago? Of course the fuel pump is such a component, but that is only one year old, so statistically unlikely, and there are OTHER devices in the system, such as the Fuel Pump Control Module, which essentially acts as a relay. ![]() Certain electrical or electronic components develop heat during extended operation. Since you suggest you have to drive for ~ 45 minutes before the fuel pump quits pumping, it sounds like an electrical/electronic component has an intermittent failure that is heat-related. ![]()
